Boambee East

Boambee East is where our house is. It is a quiet residential suburb just south of Coffs Harbour, with Boambee Creek Reserve for picnics, kayaking and fishing, Bongil Bongil National Park for bush walks, and Toormina Gardens shopping centre close by for groceries. It is also a handy base for sporting weekends at Coffs International Stadium.

Valla Beach and Nambucca Heads

Heading south, Valla Beach (about 25 minutes from the house) is a quiet village with long, uncrowded beaches and dog friendly stretches of sand. A little further on, Nambucca Heads (about 30 minutes) is known for the painted rocks of the V-Wall and its river. Both make an easy day trip from Boambee East.

Sawtell

Sawtell is our closest beach village, 6 minutes from the house. Fig trees shade First Avenue, which is lined with cafes, gelato, restaurants, boutiques and a local cinema. Families love the patrolled main beach in season, the headland walks and the calm water of Bonville Creek.
