Sawtell Beach. Stretching around 2 kilometres between Bonville Headland and Boambee Headland, Sawtell Beach is a classic patrolled surf beach that is perfect for family swims, body boarding and long morning walks.
The headlands. Bonville Headland has a paved walking track, grassy picnic areas and views over Bonville Creek and the famous "Southies" surf break. Boambee Headland at the northern end is another great spot to watch the waves, and both headlands are excellent for whale watching from May to November.
Sawtell Memorial Rock Pool. A local favourite for a sheltered ocean swim, especially with kids.
First Avenue. Sawtell's main street is lined with fig trees, cafes, restaurants, boutiques and gelato. Pop into the much loved local cinema for a movie night, or settle in for a long lunch.
Bonville and Boambee Creeks. The calm creeks either side of Sawtell are ideal for kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing and safe swimming for little ones.
Bongil Bongil National Park. Just south of Sawtell, the national park offers rainforest walks, quiet beaches and great birdwatching.
