Coffs Harbour is one of the most dog friendly coastal cities in NSW, with several off-leash beaches:
- Boambee Beach, right near the house, is off-leash and ideal for long walks and a swim.
- North Wall Beach, next to the Coffs Harbour Jetty, is off-leash 24/7, with a dog wash station, water and bag dispensers. Note that dogs are not permitted on the beach right beside the jetty.
- Emerald Beach (north of Fiddamans Creek), Hearnes Lake Beach and Woolgoolga Back Beach to the north are also off-leash.
- Many other beaches, including Korora, Sapphire and Moonee, allow dogs on-leash.
For a break from the sand, West Coffs Reserve and Thompsons Road Reserve both have fenced dog parks.
